- Closely monitor, analyse, and interpret agricultural market dynamics, commodity price trends, and supply chain disruptions to produce actionable daily trading insights
- Develop quantitative models to forecast agricultural commodity prices based on weather patterns, crop yields, and global trade flows
- Provide specialized expertise on agricultural fundamentals to inform trading strategies across grain, livestock, and soft commodity markets
- Conduct deep research on emerging agricultural technologies, sustainable farming practices, and their potential market impacts
- Lead cross-functional projects incorporating alternative data sources (satellite imagery, IoT sensors) to generate proprietary trading signals
- Collaborate with quantitative researchers to develop algorithmic trading strategies leveraging agricultural sector expertise
- PhD in Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Engineering, or related field with a strong track record of publications in top-tier journals
- Minimum 5 years of experience in agricultural commodity research, risk management, or quantitative analysis
- Demonstrated expertise in statistical modeling and econometric techniques applied to agricultural markets
- Strong programming skills (Python, R) and experience with large agricultural datasets (can be learned on the job)
- Deep understanding of global agricultural supply chains, weather impacts on crop yields, and commodity market fundamentals
- Excellent communication skills to translate complex agricultural insights into actionable trading strategies
- Intellectual curiosity and ability to work in a fast-paced trading environment where decisions must be made under uncertainty
